Loren Kowal

Founder & Chiropractor

Loren’s work as a chiropractor is greatly influenced by her exercise/athletic endeavours (pole, flexibility, acrobatics, and gym training). Loren holds both a Bachelor and Master of Chiropractic from Macquarie Uni as well as having had the honour of being offered a spot in the Golden Key International Honour Society. Loren combines her professional knowledge with a deep understanding of the physical demands and biomechanics associated with various forms of movement. This unique blend allows her to focus not just on treating injuries but also on helping to prevent them, guiding her patients out of pain and onto a path to their best selves.
In addition to her chiropractic achievements, Loren (Lorna) has been competing and teaching pole at an elite level for almost 10 years, bringing a wealth of firsthand experience to her practice and providing unparalleled insight into the world of competitive pole and aerial arts.
Loren has extensive further education in dry needling, movement and circus medicine courses to name a few, with this helping her formulate unique treatment plans for her patients. 
Her approach is straightforward yet compassionate, aiming to make healthcare a seamless part of the journey towards wellness and activity. Loren believes in the power of movement as medicine and strives to embody this philosophy both in and out of the clinic.

At the heart of her practice, you’ll find her dog Pebbles, the clinic manager, who adds a dose of warmth to every visit. Together, they create a space where health meets movement, offering a supportive environment for everyone, from everyday pain and niggles, those taking their first steps towards a more active lifestyle, all the way to athletes.
Whether you’re looking to recover from an injury, enhance your performance, or simply move better in your daily life, Loren is dedicated to helping you achieve your goals in a welcoming, inclusive setting.

Chiropractor

Megan Yanz

Megan has a Bachelor in Chiropractic Science, a Master of Chiropractic and has recently completed a Master of Research for which she was awarded the 2020 ANZMUSC/CA Scholarship. 
Megan currently and for the past three years has taught Chiropractic skills units at Macquarie University.
Megan has 6 years experience in pole and aerial fitness (lyra and silks) and was previously an aerials and pole instructor. She has 10 years experience in Irish Dance, with State and National championship wins under her belt.
Megan’s love of sports from early childhood extends to having participated or competed in rock climbing, swimming, tennis, golf, archery, jazz, hip hop, skiing (water and snow), and musical theatre.Megan’s knowledge covers a wide range of neuromusculoskeletal conditions with a deep interest in the biomechanics and injury mechanisms associated with sports.
She uses a variety of techniques including chiropractic adjustments, mobilisations, soft tissue massage, dry needling, and personalised exercise rehabilitation, with previous experience in adjunctive therapies (tens, interferential, and ultrasound), radial shockwave, cold laser, and radiology.

Nathalie Doudkina

Myotherapist & Principal massage therapist

Nathalie has always been passionate about movement in all its forms. This started at 3 years old with a love of dance and music that led her to a professional career as a performer and educator. She is currently a Pole dance and Slings teacher, performer and competitor. 

 

Nathalie has dedicated the last 10+ years of her life to working with dancers to  help them develop a somatic movement practice that serves to improve their technical skills and provide invaluable tools to achieve their optimal health. As a practitioner, she adapts the approach to suit the individual using her extensive knowledge of different treatment modalities and is passionate about sharing that information with others. 

 

This includes: 

• Advanced Myotherapy: A comprehensive form of physical therapy used to treat or prevent soft tissue pain and restricted joint movements caused by muscle or myofascial dysfunction. 

• Myofascial Dry needling, Transcutaneous Electrical Neural stimulation: The insertion of fine needle to release trigger points in support of treating and relieving musculoskeletal pain.

• Remedial Massage therapy: the application of a range of therapeutic techniques, used to treat muscles that are knotted, tense, stiff, or damaged. 

• Pilates Movement Therapy: an exercise system designed to develop the body uniformly, correct posture, restore vitality, invigorate the mind and elevate the spirit

• Speciality Treatments: Bowen Therapy, Guasha Therapy, Lymphatic drainage, Pregnancy Massage

• Dance (Pole dance, Ballet, Jazz, Pole Silks, Aerial Silks) ⁣

Alana Dean

Personal Trainer + Strength & Conditioning Coach

Alana is a seasoned Personal Trainer and Fitness Coach with a robust foundation in fitness. Her qualifications include Certificates III and IV in Fitness, Strength and Conditioning Level 1 Trainer, CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, and Weightlifting Coach, underpinned by six years of instructive experience in the fitness industry.
Understanding that every client is on their unique fitness journey, Alana approaches personal training with the individual’s goals at the forefront. Whether it’s enhancing general health and fitness or aiming for specific sports performance improvements, she tailors her sessions and programs with precision. Alana’s methodology is client-focused, aiming to bridge the gap between where you are and where you aspire to be in your fitness journey.
In addition to her professional credentials, Alana has honed her skills and passion through eight years of pole dancing, where she excels as both an instructor and a competitive athlete. Her athletic journey doesn’t stop there; Alana’s background spans a wide range of sports. From her days as a competitive amateur boxer to competing in athletics at the state level and playing soccer for over a decade, she has gathered a wealth of experience across various disciplines.
This diverse athletic background enables Alana to understand the distinct demands different sports and activities place on the body. She combines this knowledge with her fitness expertise to create customised training experiences that address the specific needs of her clients, making her an invaluable asset to those looking to enhance their physical fitness or sports performance.

Tia Chamulko

Swedish massage therapist

Tia’s passion for human movement stems from a lifetime love of dance. Tia began dancing at a young age, and has trained in contemporary, classical ballet, jazz & commercial dance styles. Finding pole & aerials (lyra, silks and sling/hammock) 5 years ago perfectly combined Tia’s interests in strength training, fitness and dance. Alongside weight/strength training, pole, aerials and dance, Tia also enjoys snow skiing & boarding, and anything to do with the snow or the water!

 

Motivated by her interest in biomechanics and functional movement, Tia pursued a Bachelor of Health Science majoring in Dance. This pursuit equipped her with insights into performance and movement optimisation within sports and dance contexts. She is also a qualified Personal Trainer and is completing her Diploma of Remedial Massage.

 

Recognising the uniqueness of each individual's movement journey, Tia places a paramount emphasis on tailoring her approach to the specific strengths of her clients. Her primary objective is to collaborate with clients, fostering confidence and empowerment throughout their unique movement journey.

She excels at giving cuddles, offering emotional support, and conducting impromptu bag-sniffing missions for snacks.
With a stellar track record in naps and snacks, Pebbles brings her A-game to clinic management on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Pebbles is your go-to furry friend for an extra dose of warmth and charm during your visit!
